Most of my work has involved building things you can’t quite touch—software, systems, ideas.

Dirt Factory is different.

It’s a return to the physical: the history, industry, and quiet absurdity of buying and selling dirt.

This project isn’t about nostalgia or judgment.

It’s about curiosity.

About following a bag of soil backwards through supply chains, through history, through all the strange choices that made it possible.

When I’m outside, I’m usually with Melissa—following questions, chasing down half-formed ideas, standing barefoot in the grass with the dogs, trying to remember how we got here.
